Created by renowned photographer Mikhail Stenin, the multimedia project “One-on-One with the Universe” marks the 60th anniversary of the first human spacewalk.
The multimedia project “One-on-One with the Universe, ” created by the renowned photographer Mikhail Stenin, is dedicated to a milestone event: the 60th anniversary of the first human spacewalk. In an artistic form, the author reflects on our relationship with outer space, showing that the cosmos is not somewhere far away, but literally permeates our entire earthly life. In Mikhail Stenin’s photographs, the images of “cosmonauts” are placed within familiar urban landscapes, museums, cafes, and parks, thereby introducing a counterpoint between the ordinariness of our daily lives and humanity’s grand dream of distant space. The “One-on-One with the Universe” project was initiated by the world’s first space museum—the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics.

I would like to thank everyone who supported the project! The Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, Russkoye Vremya (Russian Time) company, Cybertape and Rustam Bekmuratov, Artstandard Hotel, Artem Malakhov, Daria Stenina, Serdyuk architectural bureau, and GetLens company
