Mikhail Stenin is an artist working with photography, based in Moscow. In projects such as One-on-One with the Universe, Love Has Four Paws and On the Way to One’s Star he explores the relationship between man, nature and the dream of space. His works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum of Photography and the Tsiolkovsky Museum of the History of Cosmonautics.

I photograph to share my state of mind and my relationship with the world. Animals, to me, are equals — intermediaries between us and a primordial nature that is slipping away. Space is part of us, and we are part of it. Man is either the miracle of the universe or its mistake; every frame I make is an attempt to look closely at that question.
